Four hundred bucks for a pocket knife?! What's up with that?
Well, for starters this is made from a very rare steel. It was forged from the German tank Leopard I. That's where the name "Leo" comes from.
Next, Boker has added modern technology to that steel by including chromium and vanadium to make it very hard (63 on the Rockwell C scale). You can make an insanely sharp blade out of that.
The damascus-style pattern on the blade is simply gorgeous and is unique to each knife.
The handle is made of an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy containing manganese and silicon. It is inlaid with attractive rosewood hardwood.
Each blade is numbered. The blade measures 3.125 inches, while the overall length of the knife is 6.25 inches.
Sure it's expensive, but it's also a beautiful, collectible-worthy knife from a premium maker that's available only in limited supply.
